so i recently had the privldge of seeing ‘Bomb the Music Industry!’ live in concert. they were amazing and their lead-singer, Jeff Rosenstock, is a badass. i highly recommend listening to them.

every song they’ve ever made has been recorded in Jeff’s bedroom, exept for “It Ceases To Be ‘Whining’ If You’re Still ‘Shitting’ Blood”, which was recorded in his bathroom. they’re an incredible borderline ska/punk group from the east coast. their songs are written about, well, real shit. not the fu-fu bullshit that hawthorne heights, for example, writes about. having met Jeff, i can understand his type of inspiration, he’s… different. so do BtMI a favor and support their effort to Bomb the Music Industry!

it was rather funny, as Jeff custom-painted my BtMI shirt, i told him i was going to drive home and listen to the cd i had pirated from them, which i then realized he had posted all the songs on their site http://www.bombthemusicindustry.com
his witty response was, “see, you don’t even have to feel bad”.

so i saw it. i couldn't resist any longer and figured i'd go see the most recent exploitation of a national disaster. first off. i'd like to say that although yes, a good movie, but how dare someone make money off of something like that. next i would like to say that im sure the accuracy of the movie was very close to that of the event. but there were never any knives used in the hijackings: only boxcutters. the only recordings were of the cockpit blackbox and the phonecalls of the passengers. i, as any other american did, was proud to see the angry and determinded men rush the cockpit, killing the two hijackers in the cabin, and one of the men in the cockpit before the end. the ending of course being tragic in the loss of life. mid-movie there is a very sad scene in which from a control tower at a new jersey airport, the 2nd aircraft is tracked, then spotted just before it strikes the tower. i recommend this movie to anyone moved by that day. although i believe it to be a bad exploitation, it's still a good movie.

huffing and the devil?

so i walked to photography today as i do everyday expecting an over-stressed mrs. wheeler to want me to finish my printing assignments before the year ends or before i have to work on my final. well. our air compressor used to usually clean negatives is broken… so wheeler invested in several cans of canned air which is merely some of the most harsh chemicals man could think of and stuffed it in a can with some carbon dioxide. so everything was going good until one day a can came up missing. no one could find it and ever did. so wheeler got another can. it went missing. so today she tied one to her podium with a peice if string. some addicted mother fucker decided he would cut the fucking strin and take the can. she placed another can out with that warning that if the student was ever caught, they were in for a very long suspension. i laughed as i usually do at things like this. i mean honestly. who loves that shit so much that they say to themselves "i've gotta have that fucking can."

oh yeah:

rose worthington told me that "that kind of language was uncalled for and wouldn't be tolerated in class."

my simple response was "fuck you, rose."

not to brag. but somebody had to do it. rose needs to fall off a cliff or get hit by a train.

either way.

for those of you that arn't aware of rose worthington, let me explain. rose may as well have '666' stamped on her forehead. she, in my mind, IS the anti-christ. everytime i say something to get a giggle out of the class, she gives me the 'death stare' which im alright with until she does it too long and i'll say something like "what the fuck are you staring at?" she is always negative and always has a story abou her exciting day in biology. i should be thankful for her existance though… it makes me laugh.

pirates. pirates you may ask? yes, pirates. internet pirates: the subject of my 'i-search' paper. those of you aware of 'i-search' papers know that they're somewhat of a physical form of the phrase 'wtf?'. because yes, teachers mess up, but this… this is probably one of the most pathetic things anyone ever said 'hey, that's a good idea' to. but anyway, on with the story. i visited a site recently online that was placed there to inform those of the "evils of online piracy"… i laughed.

all the people that had left comments on the site were your steriotypical reformed type of 'shield my child from the evils of the world' people.

i chose this a my next topic because of the irony that gave me the giggles. this site had copies of a news release, and i quote: "availible for copy."

picture peta lining up animals and pulling out an M-60 or fema not supporting a national disaster….. oh wait….. fema did do that didnt they?

speaking of peta:

there was a segment on the nbc nightly news about the exploding elk population in the northwestern united states. the plans as of now are to:

A) bring in wolves from yellowstone to sort things out.
B) leave things as they are and let the elk take over.
C) arm federal agents with silenced rifles to kill at least 1000 elk.

ladies and gentlemen, it is for this very reason that humans, indeed, are retarded.

by the way… does anyone smell that?

because it smells like peta just shit their pants.

if you were to steal something, you would want it to be something harmless, correct? yes. correct.

prom in Topeka, Kansas is a pointless orgy of money and timeless expense. so, we stole something, what else is there to do after a semi-expensive dinner? in the spirit of being a teenager, we stole a street sign. you're aware of the large dual-arrow signs that basically scream "this road ends, left or right". well, we chose one out in BFE. if you dont know what BFE is: stop reading now.

for those of you that can continue, we came to an intersection where the lane ends, left or right is the only way to continue. you, whether day or night, would look at this intersection and say "left or right".

you may wonder why i make such a big deal of "left or right". well, it's because there are people out there that ask: "isn't stealing signs dangerous?"

no, only stealing traffic signs is dangerous. such as stealing a stop sign, very dangerous, now, stealing a sign that says "left or right" isnt because there's a large formation of trees by the roadside by this perticular peice. i fear the sake of the person that says "no, i wish to continue my journey on into the forrest, through the trees." my entire point of this entry is to point out the logical human beings among us and applaud them.

those of you that dont understand: think harder, you may have hope.
